Pocono Mountain Arts Council

A place to keep our photos of events, workshops, etc.

After our winter hiatus on artist presentations, it was very appropriate to start our new season of demos with Dan Ferguson and Bonsai trees. Our members were eager to ask several horticulture questions as Dan’s knowledge extended to general plant care and gardening.

As Dan spoke we watched as he transformed what started as a root bound bush into a Bonsai masterpiece. Mitsu Walters won the Bonsai tree at the end of the member meeting through our monthly drawing. In a month Dan will meet with Mitsu and give the Bonsai a checkup.

Thank you Dan for giving us the opportunity to learn more about the fascinating art of Bonsai.

Pocono Mountain Arts Council would like to thank Skytop Lodge, Catherine Schratt, Nancy Pitcher and all the committee members, and everyone that helped make the 2011 Skytop Holiday Art Show such a success!

November Member Meeting - Lisa Weber - Silver Jewelry.

Thank you Lisa for a wonderful demonstration on Silver and Copper Jewelry making! Everyone’s attention was held as Lisa hammered away at a small piece of copper slowly giving it shape as a small detailed leaf. Lisa offers classes through Garden of Beadin’ in Bartonsville (www.poconobeads.com). Visit her website at www.silvervinejewelry.com.
